1787 1st American ed Philadelphia BIBLE QUAKER Sermons Stephen CRISP
Stephen Crisp was a 17th-century English Quaker who is known primarily for his role in establishing Quakerism in Holland. Crisp was also an important Quaker preacher and writer, publishing a number of works and sermon collections. One such work, originally published in 1707, was ‘Scripture Truths Demonstrated,’ a work which stressed the importance of scripture reading and understanding God’s promises.
This rare 1787 first American edition was published in Philadelphia at the height of Quakerism in 18th-century Pennsylvania.
