Purchased with provenance from the estate of John Morrison, who was the owner of the flight school at the Flying W airport in Lumberton, NJ. Morrison had attended flight training with Bush in 1944, and as the article describes, Bush had left the glasses behind when he completed training when he completed training a couple of months ahead of Morrison. Morrison was issued the glasses by the school's supply clerk. At the Philadelphia Antiques Roadshow around 2004, the glasses were presented to the expert Rudy Franchi who appraised them at the time with a value of $2,000. The glasses have never been on the market.
