Description
Silkscreen on paper, 23 x 14 1/2 in. An authority on Intaglio and Woodcutting, Paul Arnold was an instructor of art at Oberlin College for forty-four years, from 1941 to 1985 and also was Chair of that Department part of that time. He was also an illustrator for chemistry, print-making and general humanities publications.He took his art training at Oberlin College, earning an MA in 1941, and then attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and the University of Minnesota, where he received an MFA in 1955.Arnold lived in Oberlin, Ohio and was active in the Ohio Valley Art Association and the Cleveland Art Association. He traveled extensively through Asia and Europe.
