Description

12 Russian Fair Tale/Legends Limited Edition Collector Plates made in the 1980’s. Vintage collection of plates features Russian Fairy Tales/Legends with some derived from the poems of Alexander Pushkin. It is a limited edition porcelain plate series and the first collector’s plate series ever produced in Russia. The plates are crafted in the old-age tradition of miniature painting on lacquer with up to 17 layers of colored pigments on black porcelain and enhanced with gold. All 12 plates forming the series RUSSIAN LEGENDS was made several Soviet/Russian porcelain factories, including the historic Lomonosov Porcelain Factory. The language on the back of the plate is in Russian. The plates are all in the original boxes with certificates of authenticity. Collectible tableware / Dishware / display. From a larger vintage Russian Fairy Tale Plate collection retrieved from a White Plains, NY residence. Each plate approximately 8 inches in diameter. 7
