Description

French, Late 19th/Early 20th Century. Pair of dore mounted rouge marble lidded coupes, Neoclassical style having pineapple finials on domed lids, the round bowls supported on horned satyr-mask topped legs terminating in double-hoof feet on a trefoil shaped base. Unmarked. 16" H, 7" W. Provenance: From a prominent Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.

Condition

One with shallow chip to back edge, slightly visible from the front. Otherwise good condition with light wear commensurate with age and handling. 1 screw missing on stretcher ring of both coupes.
