Antique German Folk Art large mixing bowl, made of salt glazed earthenware. Pale yellow glaze, slipware decorations, with green circular lines and light brown waves. Gerstungen, on the River Werra in Thuringia, Germany, made during the mid to late 19th century. Pottery production in the town dates back to the 16th century, and this bowl is a characteristic example of the specific type of earthenware produced in the region.
