Rare Vacumatic Maxima, brown stripe pattern, triple-stacked captop and endpiece tassies with striped jewels, gold-filled cap band inscribed "PARKER VACUMATIC". "Speedline" plunger-filling system. 135mm. Two-tone circle-vent nib with Parker arrow motif, very slight flex. Excellent condition, essentially flawless. A superlative example of one of the most significant Parkers, produced for a single year only. "When the new range of 1937 Vacumatics was introduced the earliest Majors, Maximas and Senior Maximas carried the inscription of 'PARKER VACUMATIC' in raised, block capital letters on the cap band.
