Description
Tiered 6 pointed bowl with deep carved decoration and salt glaze.
Possibly cut with an early mark by Louise E. Tomkins (though it would predate her earliest recognized employment with Doulton by 5 years), this 1877 open salt is beautifully decorated in rich cobalt waves and khaki ribbed tiers. The dish is of hallmarked silver, and the base is adorned with pearl white beading. Stamped and dated on the bottom.
