Ship model of 'The Wanderer', built by Harry Connell, disciple and friend of Peter Ness (1890-1976), famous ship model craftsman, whose work is in The White House. Both men worked in East Boston, next to the shipyard where Donald McKay designed famous clipper ships. 'The Wanderer' is a whaling bark, housed in a professional custom made glass case. 1:8 scale. 26 1/2" x 30 3/4" x 10 7/8". Provenance: Belmont, Massachusetts estate.
