Bound in elaborately embellished gilt boards with gilt spine lettering, the tissue guarded copperplate engravings are from designs by Jean LeClerc contained in the original edition of the work. LeClerc was a 17th-century Baroque painter from the Duchy of Lorraine.

The book shows some age/wear externally concentrated at the extremities, including bumping of the corners and spine ends. The binding is tight and secure.
