Vintage Album Applique Antique Quilt ~Patriotic Shield, Berries & Bible! This OUTSTANDING album quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a rich variety of floral blocks, including some with tiny berries, reverse applique, a patriotic shield and Bible with hand embroidered accents. The quilt consists of a 30's top finished later. It measures a generous 82" X 90" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small, inconspicuous spot and no wear. There is quilting around and within the applique and in straight line designs in the borders, all at an even 9-10 stitches to the inch. The back and front of the quilt are stitched together at the edge ("knife edge"), and the batting, which appears to have some synthetic fabric, is of medium thickness. Whatever your screen may show, the background is a pure, snowy white.
