This lot consists of a fine art print on paper, hand signed "Frida Kahlo" in graphite at bottom. Image depicts a woman of proud beauty, with painted lips, flushed cheeks, and dark, glistening eyes that peer from below a bushy brow line. She wears an elaborate white lace costume. Her eyes seem to demand an answer from the viewer that we cannot find in her own expression. At the center of her forehead is a small image of Diego Rivera (Mexican, 1886-1957). Vines emanate from her flower crown, covering the entire composition with a movement and a quite surreal effect. Reminiscent of the 1943 painting, "Self Portrait as Tehuana", by Frida Kahlo (Mexican, 1907-1954). This unframed piece measures approximately 8.25" x 11.25".
