Description
Antique bust of the great German composer and theater director, Wilhelm Richard Wagner (22 May 1813 – 13 February 1883). Made of cast white metal. Attached at the pedestal is a figure of an open music book, with inscriptions, including three of his most famous operas: Tannhauser, Lohengrin & Niebelungen. On the opposite page is what is most likely the name of the sculptor or foundry - WABOSI or so. Antique, circa late 19th/early 20th century. Measurements: Approx. 11.5" x 8.5" x 5.5".
