(After/Attributed) Pablo Picasso (1881-1973, Spain.) The image was drawn by Picasso in 1964 and later became part of the portfolio of lithographs called "Le Gout du Bonheur" (Taste of Happiness.) This piece has been identified as Carnet (Book) II, Planche (Board 6) and/or number 31. The limited edition of lithographs was produced (by Harry Abrams, New York) in 1970 under Picasso's supervision. Another edition of screenprints (after Picasso) was issued in 1998 (Cramer Ref. 148.) This lithograph contains a signature and is dated in the plate (20.9.64 ii). It is beautifully framed and matted. His revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal renown and immense fortune, making him one of the best-known figures in 20th-century art.
