the clock face inscribed Prolle Freres/Paris, supported by two putti seated on mask of Neptune form the base, flanked by single candle arms, the base having two inkwells and a pull-out drawer in center.

The inkstand was drilled at the rear and both sides for wiring as a lamp at one point. The back of the clock is stamped R 12949; the foliate scrolls supporting the nozzles, the nozzles and drip pans have been drilled for wiring; the backside of the scrolls are also pierced to secure wiring. Quality of the casting is very good.
