Pair of magnificent Chinese celadon hardstone vases, c.1900.12 inches high each, with the tops on.///////The first time we tried to scratch these with a sharp instrument, it didn't scratch, the second time we were able to make a very small thin white line.We are saying that these are a very very hardstone, but not jade.Maybe Serpentine, or one of the other hardstones.Not glass.There are a few natural stone inclusions in the translucent stone parts.No chips, no damage, no restoration.The thin white line was polished off.A magnificent museum quality pair of carved Chinese stone vases.
