Printed form filled out in ink. 50x56 cm (19¾x22").
Listed are the crew members of the Sarah, out of Boston, now bound to "Port or ports eastward of the Cape of Good Hope, from thence back to a port of discharge in the United States, for a term not to exceed fifteen callendar months.". The crews names, stations, wages, etc. are listed. Of the 27 crew members listed, nine are crossed out, two with the notation "not going." In addition to the rules of employment, there is a printing of Acts of Congress for governance of Seamen, Merchants, etc. There is a woodcut of a three-masted schooner on the recto, an American eagle on the verso.
Condition
Some minor staining, old folds with short splits at some intersections; very good.
