Description
1668 EXQUISITE Psalms of David Gold Binding Beza Calvin Music Chant French Bible
Theodore Beza was one of the most prolific French Protestants during the Reformation. His biblical translation were extremely important and popular throughout Europe, especially among Calvinists. They helped shape many theological scholars who came after him. In 1544, John Calvin asked Beza to complete a collection of the Psalms of David, metered, and translated into French.
This 1668 printing of the Beza’s Psalms of David features each Psalm set to music in the form of chant, as well as Ecclesiastical Prayers, a printing of ‘The Catechism’ on teaching Christian children, and a ‘Confession of Faith’.
