Produced towards the end of the 1950s this very fine and thin 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch is a true stunner. It’s sunbursts gilt dial and ultra-thin baton markers make for a very minimal yet attractive combo.
Some spotting around the outer edges is visible, this patina which is only normal with age adds to the character of the watch. The mineral crystal is devoid of scratches and offers a unobstructed view of the beautiful dial.
Moving over to the 18K yellow gold 3 body case everything is uber sharp and show minimal if any signs of wear.
At the heart of this stunning Patek Calatrava dress watch is the 18 jeweled Cal. 10-200, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark and "fausses côtes" decoration and adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions.
Decidedly installed by a professional jeweler at some during its existence, this Patek Philippe Ref 2573 has a very unique 18K yellow gold mesh bracelet with locking clasp. In order to achieve such a seamless and near factory finish look, the actual lugs where removed before professionally attaching this unsigned bracelet to the underside of the case. The result is outstanding and anybody would be hard pressed to think this was not original.
