Antique Pocketwatch Reguateur Veritable Echappement Roskopf Oversized Railroad
Sterling Silver Antique Pocketwatch Reguateur Veritable Echappement Roskopf Oversized Railroad Half Hunter
Very cool old estate watch with a round white ceramic face, roman numerals and a 2nd hand dial.
Back of watch features a magnificently detailed, engraved depiction of a locomotive, complete with billowing steam, Conductor & landscape.
Measures approx 6.1cm or 2 7/16" in diameter.
We have no idea how old this watch is. The back case opens fairly easily. The inner back case is present, but is detached. The front of the case opens, but does not open easily and we have not tried to pry it open. The time is set by depressing a tiny button on the top of the watch, to the left of the stem.
Marked "REGULATEUR" on the face. Exterior of inner back case marked "VERITABLE ECHAPPEMENT ROSKOPF MI CHRONOMETRE" Interior of inner back case marked "EZ0.800" and "6" and "1021748". Interior of outer back case marked "6" and "1021748". Movement marked "RS" with an arrow pointed downward. The interiors of the back cases also have several tiny numerical hand engravings, indicating jeweler's servicing over the years.
