This is a very rare item for the true railroad collector. Recently, a piece nearly identical to this item has sold at Soulis Auction. You can reference Lot number 17 from the October 28, 2018 auction of the Railroad Collection Of Phil and Beverly Birk. Lot number 17 brought over $1,200.00 including the buyer's premium.This great art deco towel basket for a sleeper berth is a scare piece. This one is in 100% authentic from a railroad super collector. The piece is so original it is an unrestored piece, still retaining some industrial paint from the railroad over parts of the brushed aluminium. The piece is in good condition with no cracks, some light pitting, and is solid. Measurements: Height 11.5, Width 13.5, Depth 5.5 INCHES
