Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A high grade silver (95% silver) pendant with a dramatic repousse surface of vines and flowers, with a round, bright red coral bead inlaid at its center. This piece calls to mind the lotus of the Buddhist Eight Auspicious Symbols. The back is smooth and undecorated. Beautiful and wearable!
