Shipwreck treasure coin From the wreck of El Cazador. The Spanish galleon sunk in 1784 off New Orleans. Nice silver 8-reale 'Piece of Eight'. America's first silver dollar! The most valuable circulating coin in the New World. Bears the bust of Charles III, the reverse pillars believed to be what inspired the '$' dollar sign used today. Dated 1783, slabbed and certified by NGC. Coin a huge 39.5 mm, weighs 23.08 grams! Comes with a small certificate card with history of the wreck.
