Item Details

Description

The group includes three completely handcrafted and written books of mathematical work during this period. Giving an excellent caption of schoolwork in this region during this particular time. The earlier book having belonged to Charles Holeman of Person County, North Carolina and with a beginning date of 1812. The other two books one belonging to William Holeman is dated 1840 and the other having belonged to Richard Holeman and with a start dated of 1844. This family is one of the most influential North Carolina Planter families of thier time.
