Description: A group of infant and doll shoes, mainly 19th century, nine assorted pairs, including carved wooden pattens, pale-blue baby pumps with note stating they were worn by Mary Hume White at the age of 10 months in 1840, black wool pumps 1830s-40s, brown glace leather pair 1880s, Clarks pair c.1920 and others (qty)
Condition Report: Mixed condition. Pale blue leather baby shoes with note are badly faded, and silk edges have frayed. Pink pumps and wooden pattens with red morocco straps mounted onto card - good. Doll shoes mounted onto card- badly creased. Black doll pumps 1840s, one is badly split. Clarks brown leather pumps - elastic straps have perished. 1830s-40s black wool pumps - faded. Brown leather baby shoes worn by Mr J. Marston at his christening in 1904 - good condition. Brown glace leather infant or doll shoes with buckles and top stitching - good condition, very fresh.
