Description: An Hermès brown crocodile Kelly bag, 1962, crocodylus porosus, stamped in gold Hermès, Paris, with gilt hardware, leather covered padlock, with remains of fob and key, 32cm, 12 1/2in long Provenance: Mrs Beverley Hylton (née Prowse, of Queensland Australia), former Miss Australia and the wife of Jack Hylton the world famous band leader and impresario. Please note there are export restrictions on this lot outside the EU.
Condition Report: Heavily used, front base corners - croc has rubbed through to the under-layer of leather. Closure strap - worn along a crease line in the croc on both sides, rubbing to scales rear right base corner; handle - rubbed . Interior fine scratches to the inner flap, the double pouch on one side - the central fixing stitches have come undone. Slight patination on the gilt clasp
