Rome, Imperial Period, Judean, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A lovely gathering of pendants formed from semi-translucent or opaque glass in yellow-green, cobalt blue, turquoise, or amber hues. Each pendant is formed from a small glob of glass and given a trail suspension loop before being stamped with zoomorphic, anthropomorphic, or abstract imagery. Four of the pendants depict standing male lions based on the manes, and the other two depict faded imagery which is difficult to discern. Each of the pendants, save for the yellow-green and amber pendants, displays lovely areas of fiery rainbow hued iridescence, making this a fabulous ensemble of quality Roman artistry! Size of largest (yellow-green): 0.6" W x 0.875" H (1.5 cm x 2.2 cm).

Two pendants with suspension loops not recommended for wearing due to fragility. Four of six pendants have losses to part or all of suspension loops. Small losses to peripheries of three pendants. All items have surface wear and abrasions commensurate with age, minor fading to stamped imagery, and light roughness along faces and peripheries. Light earthen deposits throughout. Four of six pendants have lovely rainbow iridescence across surfaces.
