91: 1ST PERIOD BELLEEK SQUIRREL WALL POCKET 16 1/8" L: Due to the rarity of this piece, we are uncertain as to whether it was constructed in pieces and assembled or if the seams that we are seeing on the back of this piece are areas of repair. It appears to us that the glazed areas and the “bisque” finished areas may have been created separately and then assembled, as the seams would indicate. There is a faint line on the squirrel’s tail and several stress lines visible in the back, which we believe may be damage.
