Large Chinese jade carved mountain boulder on a fitted green jade stand. Beautiful scenery carved in incredible detail across the rounded slab of jade. Curing trees with carved mountains leading upward to a secluded temple seen in the distance. Temple is carved small in comparison to show depth and distance. Jade looks pure with a pale creamy color. Spots and streaks of dark brown seen across corners and edges that bring out all the details. Resting securely in a carved green jade stand in conforming motif. Jade shows grayish celadon color with attractive sporadic slight russet hues in varying spots over milky moist appearance surface.

Jim Francis was a true scholar having a degree in English his early career started as a professor at a community college in Kentucky. During the Vietnam era he became an instructor for the US Air Force. When computers first started becoming popular Jim became a software engineer which lead him to a career in being a method analyst for a major hospital group. While working with Doctors from different cultures Jim became an avid collector of Chinese items, His widow has placed his treasured articles to be sold at auction.
