Description
An Antique American Samovar crafted out of 56 ounces (1585 grams) of 925 Sterling Silver hand crafted by The Mauser Manufacturing Company in New York circa 1887-1913. The interior is Gold Gilt gilded with gold so that the silver does not react to change the taste of the liquid. Comes with original burner which is functioning, bone heat stoppers on the handle, a fountain and spout to dispense the liquid, and an intricate engraving and etching work throughout in a floral motif. Overall in Good Condition. Mauser was Founded in North Attleboro, MA in 1887 and transferred in New York in 1890. In 1903 Mauser Mfg.Co. merged with Hayes & McFarland Company and Roger Williams Silverware Company to form the Mt. Vernon Company Silversmiths Inc. Purchased by Gorham Corporation in 1913. Measures 13.75 inches high (34 cm) by 10 inches (26 cm) wide by 7.5 inches (19 cm) deep.
