Description
A GEORGE III PERIOD CARVED WALNUT TILT TOP TEA TABLE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY ENGLISH, the dished circular top over a turned tapered support and a swirled urn carved socle on a circular base issuing tripodal cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Height: 27 1/2" Diameter: 23"
Condition
There are some chips to the carved edge of the top, as well as some darker colored stains, a wood filled repair, and a crack with an apparent professional repair. The support appears to have a few vertical cracks and the feet are observed with expected dents, scratches and wear, and two feet are noted with apparent repairs. The center joint also has glue residue, otherwise in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
