A CHINESE EXPORT QIANLONG (1736-1795) STYLE PARCEL GILT HIGH RELIEF MANDARIN PATTERN FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED PORCELAIN COVERED VASE, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), the domed, quatrefoil shaped lid with shishi lion finial, within opposing aviary motif, oval reserves, above a tapered neck with two oval figural painted reserves, flanked by two high relief porcelain figures of ladies, standing atop gilt bough form pedestals, over two circular reserves painted with domestic scenes, resembling the Forbidden City Palace gardens; on one side a woman sits in a twig form rocking chair and gazes at her self in a mirror, at center a young boy accompanied by a dog is offered fruit, and at back a male figure stands at a calligraphy desk; and the opposing circular reserve is painted with young woman exiting a doorway, while pointing to a male figure with golden crown at center, petting a monkey on a marble table, while a young boy wearing a like ruyi form necklace plays near two phoenix; the whole on an ironstone red ground, painted with gilt, repeating ren style characters, encrusted with relief flower tendrils and flower blooms, standing on a flared quatrefoil shaped foot. Apparent repairs, inpainting of enamel and gilt, some losses of relief, gilt rubbing, mild enamel chips, dust and dirt debris, the lid and neck interior painted white, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
