In 1898 he created a series of illustrations of trompe l'oeil for porcelain. In 1900, he became known for his drawings in newspapers such as Le Figaro illustrated, L'illustration or La Vie Parisienne. At the same time, he continues his design activity and creates many interior objects (lamps, inkpots, vases, clocks), where he uses the popular theme of the flower-woman.
