Description
Victorian English Japanned black lacquer and mother-of-pearl-inlaid papier mache tea caddy, possibly Lane of Birmingham, circa 1875, the flat top and reeded sides with painted, gilded, and inlaid flowers, the interior with two wells for green and black teas, the underside with a label from "Antiques for Interiors, Portland, Oregon." 4" H x 7" L x 5" D. Wear to lining of wells, lacking well lids and locking key, very minor lacquer losses to bottoms of feet.
