Ancient Roman Green Glass Double Chambered Unguentarium Eastern Mediterranean, Circa 2nd to 3rd Century AD (PerfumeA unique and rare green glass vessel made up of conjoined tubes with applied thread trailingto tubes, thicker ribbon trailing at each four corners and thick arched basket handle. Theseelaborate glass vessels were found in tombs and would have contained scented oils for thedeceased to carry into the next world. Beautiful color and elaborate design. 7-3/8 inches (19cm) H. + custom mount. Handle repaired, iridescence and surface deposits. Provenance: ExEuropean collection H.S., acquired 1971-1998. See.
