Production-made Trident Scanner prop created for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier written and directed by William Shatner and released in 1989. This scanner was an homage to a similar prop created for the original series. It can be seen being used by a member of Scotty's engineering team who are repairing the bridge of the Enterprise-A. The scanner is made of plastic and molded parts and is painted shades of gray and silver. The prop has internal lights that illuminate by means of four red buttons on the top, the internal electronics are accessible by means of a screw on hatch on the bottom. The electronics are not tested. Two prongs on the tridents are missing. The scanner measures approximately 16 x 10.25 x 3.25 inches.
