Description
Production-made Kino ball from Stargate Universe. Kinos were floating camera and sensor orb devices built by the Ancients and used by the crew of the Destiny. Eli Wallace, actor David Blue, used several Kinos to create a floating table device for use on and off the ship. The table prop had halves of Kino balls attached to foam cylinders under it, only halves were necessary as an entire ball was not visible on camera. These half Kinos were made from a very strong clear resin as opposed to the rubber used in the hand props. This Kino ball is made up of two halves from the bottom of the floating table prop that was originally sold in the official Stargate Universe auction. The outside of the Kino is made from clear resin, and the inner, ornate portion is made of resin and painted silver and gold. The Kino measures 4.5 inches in diameter.
