ENGLISH MASON'S / ASHWORTH'S IRONSTONE CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FOUR comprising two with black transfer "Coloured Wall" pattern with overglaze polychrome enameling, one with red and gilt decoration including a central floral design, and one with a central design of Buddhist symbols and characters with green border and gilt decoration. Printed marks include "A. BROs / REAL CHINA / IRONSTONE" and "MASON'S / PATENT IRONSTONE / CHINA", with other impressed marks. 19th century. 9 1/4" D to 10 1/8" D.
One with moderate crazing, each with some losses to enameling and/or gilt decoration, and some scattered scratches to interior. Some with manufacturing flaws, as made, otherwise undamaged.
