Johann Georg Keyssler was an 18th-century German author known for his works of archaeology and voyages. Perhaps his most important work is ‘Travels through Germany, Bohemia, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, and Lorraine” – a travelogue which was written in the form of letters. This work was first published in English in 1756 in a series of four volumes.
