Description
Native American, Pacific Northwest, possibly Nootka or Makah, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A hand-carved and painted human effigy figure, created from a single piece of wood, depicted standing with one arm to the chest and the other straight by the side, wearing a green shirt and a long skirt with traces of darker green pigment, the oversized head facing forward and delineated with bold features. A wonderful abstract personage. Size: 2.625" W x 11.75" H (6.7 cm x 29.8 cm)
