LEE/ROSE NO. 243-X-1 CUP PLATE, colorless, significant unrecorded variant, like No. 243 except without the center quatrefoil, the entire cavetto is covered with the circle and star design, 19 large scallops with single point between. Extremely rare. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1830-1850. 3 1/2" D.
Excellent condition, three points lightly tipped, one other and one scallop very lightly tipped, light underfill to several scallops, otherwise only some light flaking/mold roughness under rim.
