Lucan thanks his correspondent for their letter and continues 'I am afraid I cannot help you over Colonel Robert Tracy', explaining 'My family's connection with Patrick Sarsfield is extremely remote; Sarsfield's elder brother William had a grand-daughter, Anne Vesey, who married Sir John Bingham, 5th Baronet, who died in 1749.
