Condition
**In overall good condition, with minor past restorations, a refinished surface and normal wear, mars and indications of age and use.
Tight and sturdy.
The hinges are tight and the lid opens as designed. It retains a functioning lock and key.
There are a few lines in the top veneer, presumably from where it was slit and laid back down in restoration. One good veneer patch on the top.
Cellarette is affixed to the base.
NOTE: May be a bench-made 20th-century piece rather than 18th century.
