Description
**Originally Listed At $50**

Pre-Columbian, Central Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE; Gulf Coast Mexico, Veracruz, ca. 550 to 950 CE. A wonderful group of three hand-built terracotta pieces from two distinctive Pre-Columbian cultures. First are two small Veracruz animal heads, one shaped like a fox with large ears and a short snout, the other an avian figure with disc-shaped eyes, a smooth coiffure, and a two-part beak. Last is a light-orange Teotihuacan human head with naturalistic facial features, a thick neck, large earspools, and an ornate headdress with abstract geometric designs in low-relief. All three items are fabulous examples of terracotta artistry from the ancient Pre-Columbian world! Size of largest (Teotihuacan): 2.5" H (6.4 cm).

Provenance: private Ventura County, California, USA collection
