BLOWN-MOLDED EIGHT-PANEL ROSETTE MOLASSES CAN / SYRUP JUG, fiery opalescent, hexagonal pyriform body featuring a 16-petal rosette in each lower panel and an applied solid handle displaying a bold pulled-crimp terminal and lower curl, raised on a slight foot with a plain base. Period Britannia hinged lid without markings. United States, probably Pittsburgh, PA region. 1860-1875. 6" HOA, 4 5/8" H to collar, 3 1/4" D foot.
Undamaged with some interior residue, lid with overall wear.
