Description
An Egyptian faience torso from a concubine figure, Late Period, c. 664 - 32 BC, with wonderful detail. The right hand cupped beneath her right breast, left arm pendant at side. Light blue glaze remains with some black spots painted on the arms. H: 2 2/3 in (6.7cm). Mounted on rectangular wood base. Ex collection of the Czech diplomat Stanislav Kovar (1889-1962).
