Aesthetic movement transfer design in blue on this fun delightful child's tea set with lovely medallion designs; very Victorian aesthetic movement.



Soft paste ceramic dish set with blue transfer ware designs. There are four tea cups, four dessert plates, one tea saucer, creamer, sugar bowl with lid, and teapot with lid. The set is sized for a child. Each piece has the pattern of a girl in bonnet with her large dog. In addition there are medallions of birds and flowers. Each piece has rim and handle decorations. The designs repeat through the entire set.



There is the mark C.A. & SONS No. 7666 in a lozenge and R3 N0 69456 in a another lozenge. ENGLAND is stamped below. All of the pieces are not stamped.

CONDITION

There is a chip on the mouth of the sugar bowl, two chips on the mouth of the creamer, a very tiny chip on the teapot spout, and a single small rim chips on three of the teacups. One teacup has a hairline visible on the inside of the cup. There is crazing in some areas of the dishes especially on the bases. Otherwise, there are only manufacture flaws such as chips glazed over and fuzzy transfer spots. The set is very good visually with nice dark clear transfers.



What a great tea set! It has such a feel of age and novelty. A great set for the adult child too!
