Description

Lovely antique French Locre Paris porcelain scenic hinged gilt metal mounted oval dresser box with landscape scene to front and bard playing lute to verso. Cover depicting courting couple and signed J. Cesana to lower right. Heavy scrolled gilt with green scale accenting throughout. Bottom holds blue crossed torch marks. Measures approx. 3 1/2" height x 4 3/4" width x 3 3/4" depth (8.9cm x 12cm x 9.5cm). Provenance: From a NewJersey estate. Acquired by the estate by Ira Krex Antiques and includes a reciept from 1974 showing it was purchased for $395.00.
