Four Original Etchings by John Sloan (American 1871 - 1951), Book Plates with tissue covers, from The Works of Charles Paul Dekock. Captions: "The 'Lilacs,' his home at Romainville."; "When she beat the roll on her drum the villagers came running from all sides"; "The eyes of the unfortunate man met hers. It was Edouard; it was her husband"; and "Jean... presented to each burglar the muzzle of a pistol." Are stamped in each tissue cover of print its corresponding print. "Copyright 1902 by The Fredrick J. Quinby Company" two prints; "Copyright 1903 by The Fredrick J. Quinby Company"; and "Copyright 1904 by The Fredrick J. Quinby Company"; is printed above image, center. Image sizes are app. 5" x 3", sheet size 8-½" x 5-½". Etchings in near mint condition, right edge of sheets have damage from book removal. Unframed, loose and not glued or mounted. Provenance: Amity Art Foundation, Inc. collection. We ship most items in this auction in house and gladly combine shipping if possible of multiple items.
