New to Jasper52
Lovely, tiny intricate painting - a true miniature in every way.; A tiny four-sided porcelain box decorated by hand with flowers and fruit. The lid is a thin slab of porcelain and is painted with an immortal riding a chi lin. The piece is painted with brilliant red, green, orange, purple and gold over glaze enamels and outlined in black enamel. The lid is painted with brilliant gold enamel. The edge of the lid is also painted in gold. The lid has a flanged edge that fits the base. The tiny blue and clear glass spoon is likely a modern replacement.; The inside of the mouth and the lid flange are unglazed. There are four small sager marks on the base. There are no porcelain marks or labels.; Please note that we have 5 additional salt containers available that nearly match this one, although some have a different spoon. We would offer a discount for purchasing more than one.; MEASUREMENTS; Box is 1” (2.5 cm) wide x 1” (2.5 cm) deep x ¾” (1.9 cm) tall. Lid is 1 1/16” (2.7 cm) wide x Lid is 1 1/16” (2.7 cm) wide x 3/16” (.5 cm) thick (including the flange).; The spoon measures 2 ¼” (5.7 cm) long x ½” (1.3 cm) wide.; Weighs .9 oz (25 g); CONDITION; There are no chips or cracks and the enamel looks fresh, with the exception of some wear to the gilding on the edge of the lid. One edge on the lid has a little bum and two of the sager marks on the bottom are at - or nearly at - the edge rather than being perfectly centered. These are manufacturing imperfections inherent from being potted by hand; Exciting miniature works of art in porcelain and carving.
